Purpose. This policy defines latency targets, synchronization guarantees, execution safety, and governance for BTCX’s LightSpeed™ SI·AI execution layer. The system prioritizes correctness and user safety over raw throughput whenever conditions degrade, and it is engineered to fail closed: when in doubt, it pauses, simulates, or requires an explicit human confirmation rather than proceeding with an unsafe action.
For governance controls, see the Nebula Policy; for user‑facing risk limits consult the Crypto Risk Disclosure. If you need the full architecture, read the BTCX Whitepaper or reach the Gateway for public access.
Fast mode aims for < 300 ms round‑trip on supported venues. If best‑bid/ask, reference indices, or signing services exceed freshness thresholds, LightSpeed automatically downgrades to Safe mode (simulate only) or Advice‑only mode for human confirmation. Any signature mismatch, risk‑rule violation, or clock skew beyond tolerance triggers immediate abort, alerting, and state snapshotting for later audit.
All decisions reference versioned inputs with provenance. We continuously monitor data age, cross‑source variance, network jitter, and signing health. Anomalies raise alerts and may throttle or halt autonomous actions until consensus returns within tolerance.
Human‑in‑the‑loop controls allow authorized operators to pause strategies, adjust risk knobs, or initiate rollbacks. Every action produces an append‑only audit trail with hashes anchored on‑chain so that simulations can deterministically reproduce outcomes for review and compliance.
Material incidents prompt immediate containment (pause/kill‑switch), operator notifications, and root‑cause analysis with corrective actions recorded. Changes to risk parameters or core logic follow peer review, test‑net simulation, and staged rollout with observability gates.
